As you may have read in the news, Cape Cod, including Falmouth, has seen a significant increase in drug-related crimes. The Partnership with the cooperation of the Falmouth Public Schools and Falmouth Academy surveyed middle school and high school students in Falmouth in 2009 and 2011.
Although the majority of our teens and preteens do not drink or use drugs, a significant number do. The surveys also indicate that parental attitudes are an important part of how teens think about substance abuse.
The more that you know about the dangers of drinking and using drugs, including the facts about specific drugs, the better able you will be to help your children make the right decisions.
